Harrison Memorial Hospital awarded Accreditation from The Joint Commission

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® Accreditation from Joint Commission, an independent, evidence-based standards setting organization that sets the benchmark for safe, high-quality patient care through healthcare accreditation. This accomplishment formally recognizes Harrison Memorial Hospital’s ongoing commitment to meeting rigorous performance standards and delivering the safest, highest quality care to its patients. HMH has maintained this tradition of accreditation since 1973.

HMH underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review from July 15-17, 2026. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with the hospital standards spanning several areas including emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, leadership, medication management, and rights and responsibilities of the individual and more.
