HMH Auxiliary has several Fall and Holiday Events
Holiday shopping officially begins in November as the Auxiliary hosts its annual HMH Auxiliary Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., which has been moved to a new location this year in the HMH Front Lobby. The Christmas Bazaar has been a cherished community tradition for decades and features a festive selection of Rada Cutlery, children’s holiday clothing, holiday décor, wreaths, handmade gifts, UK merchandise, and ornaments. This year, there will be a special area called Candy Lane featuring an assortment of homemade holiday candy prepared by Auxiliary members and local volunteers—perfect for gifting or enjoying at holiday gatherings.
The Auxiliary will continue its fundraising efforts throughout November and December with several vendor events in Conference Room 3, including Molly B’s Boutique on November 10 and 11, featuring women’s boutique clothing and accessories, and Bourbon Sterling Jewelry on November 24 and 25, offering sterling silver jewelry, candles and gift items. The final vendor event of the year will be hosted by Southern Queens Boutique on December 8 and 9, featuring an expanded selection of women’s, men’s and children’s merchandise just in time for holiday shopping.
The holiday spirit will be celebrated in a special way as the Auxiliary hosts the second annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the HMH Walking Trail, located in the main hospital parking lot. This free community event will include the ceremonial lighting of the hospital Christmas tree, followed by visits with Santa and Rudolph inside the HMH Front Lobby. Families can enjoy free hot chocolate and popcorn, festive photo opportunities including a vintage holiday truck, and holiday music to set the tone for the season. Memorial and honor ornaments will also be available for purchase for just $1 as a meaningful way to remember or recognize loved ones. Guests are encouraged to bring a canned or boxed food donation to support the local food pantry.
During the month of December, the HMH Auxiliary Gift Shop will be open with extended holiday shopping hours to better serve patients, visitors and community members looking for unique gifts and seasonal items. Stay tuned for the special hours to be announced soon.
The HMH Auxiliary plays a vital role in supporting the hospital through volunteer service, fundraising and community involvement. Proceeds from all Auxiliary events help enhance patient services, purchase new equipment and support healthcare scholarships. The Auxiliary invites everyone to attend these upcoming events and thanks the community for its continued support throughout the year.
