Your Billing Questions
The hospital will submit bills to your insurance company and will do everything possible to expedite your claim. Please remember:
-
Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company.
-
You are ultimately responsible for payment of your hospital bill.
-
Several payment options are available to assist you in paying your bill.
-
Your itemized bill reflects all services you received during your visit.
You may also receive separate bills directly from physician offices for certain tests or treatments. These bills cover professional services such as:
-
Diagnosing and interpreting test results
-
Services from pathologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, emergency room physicians, and other specialists
If you have questions about these bills, please call the number printed on the statement you receive from those providers.
The Insurance Department is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to assist you.

You may pay your bill online through the HMHmyhealth! Patient portal located at the top right hand corner.

Chargemaster Information
In addition, Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) has provided its chargemaster list below if you would like to review the standard charges. Please click the link below to access the list.
Disclaimer:
-
Most patients do not pay the charges listed because insurance companies and government payors such as Medicare and Medicaid negotiate reimbursement rates much lower than the listed charges.
-
This listing of standard charges is for informational purposes only and should not be used to calculate your actual patient liability for any service or procedure.
-
The list shows individual charges only. Your total charges will include all services and supplies ordered by your provider during your visit.
-
Your final billed charges may vary due to medical complications, additional procedures, or treatments ordered by your provider.
Additional Information:
-
Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) codes are used by Medicare and most insurance companies to determine payment amounts for hospital inpatient stays.
-
You can access all DRG information through the Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) website: http://info.kyha.com.
