What Is a Registered Dietitian?
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a licensed nutrition professional with specialized training in the prevention and treatment of disease through nutrition. To earn the RD credential, individuals must complete:
- An accredited four-year nutrition degree
- 900 hours of supervised practice
- A national registration examination
