HMH Introduces Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) at HMH Primary Care

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) is pleased to announce that Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is now available at HMH Primary Care with Dr. Nathan McGlone, HMH Family Medicine Physician.

OMT is a hands-on technique used by specially trained osteopathic physicians to diagnose, treat and prevent illness or injury. Through gentle pressure, stretching and resistance, this method supports the body’s natural ability to heal and enhances how bones, muscles, nerves and tissues work together.

“OMT gives me a way to help patients feel better using techniques that work with how the body is designed to heal,” said Dr. McGlone. “It’s rewarding to offer patients an approach that can improve comfort, mobility and quality of life.”

The service offers relief for musculoskeletal pain, improves mobility, increases circulation, reduces muscle tension and supports the body’s natural alignment and balance. It may be helpful for individuals experiencing headaches, sinus issues, postural concerns or those recovering from injury or surgery. Many patients also choose OMT as a non-medication option for overall wellness and pain management.

“HMH is committed to expanding services that improve patient movement, function and overall well-being,” said Alex Caldwell, HMH Director of Clinic Operations. “Offering OMT allows us to provide patients with another effective option, and we are excited that Dr. McGlone can deliver this specialized care close to home.”

In addition to offering OMT, Dr. McGlone provides comprehensive family medicine care for adults and children, including immediate healthcare needs, preventive services and chronic disease management. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Carilion Clinic–Virginia Tech Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia.

Dr. McGlone is accepting new patients at HMH Primary Care. The office located at 809 US 27 South, Suite 102, in Cynthiana, Kentucky. To schedule an appointment, please call (859) 234-4494.
