HMH Foundation to Host First Annual Gary Philpott Memorial Softball Tournament
The HMH Foundation will host the 1st Annual Gary Philpott Memorial Softball Tournament on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at River Road Park in Cynthiana. This community event will honor the life and legacy of Gary Philpott while raising funds to support cardiology programs at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Gary Philpott was well known throughout the community for his love of softball and his dedication to local athletics. He spent many years involved in the sport, both as a player and mentor, and was respected for his sportsmanship, leadership, and commitment to bringing people together through the game. Gary was also a member of the HMH Auxiliary, a volunteer organization that raises funds to support Harrison Memorial Hospital, further reflecting his commitment to the health and well-being of the community. His connection to both softball and HMH makes this tournament a meaningful tribute to his life and legacy.
The tournament will feature multiple youth divisions and guarantees three games for participating teams. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Harrison Memorial Hospital Cardiology Program, supporting continued investment in cardiac services, technology, and patient care for the region.
