Harrison County Emergency Medical Services (HCEMS), operated by Harrison Memorial Hospital, proudly serves over 18,000 residents in Cynthiana and neighboring communities. Working closely with local fire agencies, HCEMS provides continuous emergency medical response — delivering timely, skilled, and compassionate care during both medical and trauma-related emergencies.
Our Team, Our Mission
HCEMS is staffed by highly trained EMS professionals, including:
- EMT-Basics
- EMT-Advanced
- Paramedics
- Critical Care Paramedics
We currently operate two Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances 24/7, with surge capability to staff up to six units when needed.
Our 35-member team works a structured 12-hour schedule and responds to approximately 4,000 emergency calls annually, ensuring consistent coverage and rapid response throughout Harrison County.
