One process for accessing components of a patient’s health record is via Application Programming Interface (API). Harrison Memorial Hospital has made it available for a patient to pick an API of his or her choice as long as each of the following is maintained:

• Patient enrollment in the Meditech patient portal;
• FIHR compatibility of the app; and
• the app meets all security and network standards
