Message from our CEO

From the moment I first stepped on campus here at Harrison Memorial Hospital just a few months ago, I immediately recognized the tremendous level of skill, experience, and dedication of our physicians and staff.  Challenged like never before by the onslaught of the COVID pandemic, diagnosing the very first case in Kentucky, and in the midst of an ever-changing healthcare landscape, our physicians and entire staff have displayed flexibility, adaptability, and an unrelenting resilience to get the job done--the job of caring for every patient, every time, with excellence and with compassion.

I am thrilled to have joined our team of nearly 500 skilled and dedicated healthcare professionals as the new CEO of Harrison Memorial Hospital.  Our team has shown tremendous ingenuity over the past year in dealing with COVID-19.  From a pop-up Cough Clinic which provided a safe haven at the start of the pandemic to now providing post-COVID assessments conducted by our full-time pulmonologist, our professionals continually invent new ways to provide innovative care.

Moving forward, Harrison Memorial will build on the services which our communities have come to rely on, and also bring new healthcare services to the region.  We will soon be adding new physicians in women’s health services and in cancer care.  We will continue to grow our services in neurology, sleep disorders, orthopedics, sports medicine, urology, ear-nose-throat, general surgery, gastroenterology, podiatry, pain management, pediatrics, and primary care. And knowing how vital timely intervention is for heart attacks, we will make sure our interventional cardiology lab continues providing state-of-the-art care, and that our emergency services department remains always ready to provide lifesaving care around the clock.

I am blessed and proud to lead one of the few remaining independent hospitals in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  As an independent, not-for-profit hospital, we exist for only one reason — and that is to care for our communities.  We value your support and your trust, and we ask you to hold us accountable.
