Message from our CEO
It is my pleasure and honor to serve at Harrison Memorial Hospital, a not-for-profit, independent hospital that is governed by local board members and our community needs. Being independent allows us to focus on issues close at hand that impact the health and wellbeing of the patients and communities we serve. Operating independently requires great intentionality, creativity, experience, commitment, compassion and determination from all physicians and staff.
We are pleased to offer a comprehensive array of specialty services that are unique to our region---including interventional cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, newborn care, pulmonology and respiratory care, neurology and sleep medicine, pain management, orthopedics, otolaryngology, gastroenterology, hematology and oncology, behavioral health, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, lymphedema and wound care, emergency services and an inpatient hospitalist program. Providing excellent primary care close to your home is the foundation of our services. Private practice groups and HMH Primary Care clinics throughout the region ensure that there is access to quality care.
Harrison Memorial Hospital is proud to be a leading healthcare provider in the region that has dedicated, committed and compassionate employees to serve our patients and families. The culture of HMH is to care for others like they are family as most of them are. The culture is passed on to our patients by providing high quality, safe and compassionate experiences when you are here at HMH. Our over 600 loyal employees focus on the difference we make in the care we provide through our inpatient and outpatient services, but we also serve our communities in many ways to provide opportunities for education, health, and wellness. We love to provide community events such as health fairs and screening, educational programs in the community and schools and partnering with other community organizations to enhance health programs. Regularly we conduct a community health needs assessment and we learn from people in our community the exact services they require to lead a healthier lifestyle and we incorporate that information in our strategic initiatives to make our healthcare services better.
We strive to continually improve through feedback from our patients, families, and community members, this allows us to enhance our services and provide opportunities for health and wellness for a lifetime to care. At Harrison Memorial Hospital, our mission is to reinvest in our communities with enhanced facilities, services, and state-of-the-art medical equipment. Our goal is to provide you with comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare that is easy to access and makes you feel at home.
Please always reach out to me directly with questions, concerns, comments or recommendations that will keep us continually providing the services you need.
Sincerely,
Kathy Tussey, DNP, RN, NEA-BC
