Harrison Memorial Hospital welcomes Dr. Michael Horn, Oncologist/Hematologist, to HMH Medical Staff
Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Horn, M.D., as the newest addition to its dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Dr. Horn brings more than two decades of medical expertise to his new role as the head of Cancer Care at HMH.
Oncology is the branch of medicine that specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with cancer. Oncologists are medical professionals who focus on the prevention, management, and research of various types of cancer, working closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans. Hematology is a medical specialty dedicated to the study of blood and blood-related disorders. Hematologists are experts in conditions such as anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, and various bleeding disorders.
Dr. Horn earned his bachelor of science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, and subsequently obtained his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
Following medical school, Dr. Horn completed a residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in hematology/oncology at UK Chandler Medical Center. In 2009, he furthered his knowledge by attaining a master of science degree in Healthcare Management from Harvard University School of Public Health, Boston, MA.
Dr. Horn is board certification by the American Board of Medical Oncology for his exceptional skills and expertise.
With his vast experience in the field of medicine, Dr. Horn is committed to providing high-quality care to the residents in our communities. He will be available full-time, Tuesday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the HMH Specialty Clinic in Cynthiana.
