HMH radiology receives ACR accreditation in CT Services

Harrison Memorial Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in Computed Tomography (CT) Services as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

A CT scan is specialized medical imaging that uses a computer linked to an x-ray machine to make a series of detailed pictures of areas inside the body. The pictures are taken from different angles and are used to create 3-dimensional (3-D) views of tissues and organs.

Leigh Ann King, APRN, joins HMH ENT Services

Harrison Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce Nurse Practitioner Leigh Ann King, APRN, will work alongside Dr. Alberto Laureano, Dr. Kenneth Hughes and Dr. David Alexander to expand ear, nose and throat services at the ENT Clinic at HMH in Cynthiana.

An APRN is a registered nurse who has completed an advanced, graduate-level education program and has passed a national certification examination in order to practice in one of four APRN roles (clinical nurse specialist, nurse midwife, nurse practitioner and registered nurse anesthetist).

Delmon Little named new Facilities Manager

Delmon Little is named the Facilities Manager at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Little will be responsible for facilities, construction, maintenance, security, safety, and life safety.

Little is a native of Jackson, KY and has attended both Spencerian and Owensboro Community and Technical College with a focus on computer/network engineering and healthcare facilities management.

Slade earns Certification as Rural Health Care Professional

Melissa Slade, is now Certified Rural Health Care Professionals (CRHCP). Slade along with Heather Hutchison and Shannon Hedges is the third staff member to become a CRHCP.

The certification is through the National Association of Rural Health Clinics. The course content includes administration, billing, coding, compliance and quality in regards to rural health clinics. Also, part of the course is the federal updates to the rural health clinic program.
