Harrison Memorial Hospital Welcomes Brian McDowell, PA to the Cardiology Team

Harrison Memorial Hospital welcomes Cardiology Physician Assistant Brian McDowell, PA-C. He will work in conjunction with HMH cardiologists Matthew Shotwell, M.D., and Yazan Daaboul, M.D., as well as with Ashley Black, APRN, Augustina McDowell, APRN, and Josh Hill, PA-C. He has 20 years of healthcare experience and nine years of experience treating patients with cardiovascular disease.

HMH Sleep Disorder Lab achieves Accreditation with ACHC

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) proudly announces its approval of accreditation status by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for the services of the HMH Sleep Disorder Lab. ACHC’s Sleep Accreditation program offers standards for Sleep Labs/Centers (SLCs) and stand-alone Home Sleep Testing (HST) services. ACHC is a not-for-profit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986.

Jennie Gardner, APRN, joins HMH Primary Care Main Campus Office

Harrison Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome Family Nurse Practitioner Jennie Gardner, APRN, to its medical staff. She will join Dr. Matthew Blake and Tara Wagner, APRN, treating patients at HMH Primary Care Main Campus in Cynthiana.

A native of Carlisle, KY, Gardner earned her associates degree in nursing in 1996. She then earned her bachelors degree in nursing in 1999 and completed her masters of science degree in nursing in 2002, all from the University of Kentucky College of Nursing, Lexington, KY.

Harrison Memorial Hospital Welcomes Dr. John Peppin, D.O., FACP, to HMH Primary Care Pleasant Street Practice

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) is delighted to announce the newest addition to the HMH Medical Staff, Dr. John Peppin, D.O., FACP. Dr. Peppin will be joining HMH Primary Care Pleasant Street practice alongside Dr. Shane Gainey, Dixie Stone, PA, and Daniel Klaber, APRN, to provide exceptional care to our community.

Dr. Peppin is a Primary Care Physician who will begin treating adult patients at our facility on September 18, 2023. His extensive education and experience make him a valuable asset to our healthcare community.

KidTown Announces Change in Management Team

KidTown at Harrison Memorial Hospital announces a transition in its management team, effective August 1, 2023. Tracy Lair, who has been the dedicated manager for the past seven years, will be stepping down from her position to pursue a new career in preschool education. Under her leadership, KidTown underwent significant growth and improvements, making it a highly regarded child development center in the area.
