Go Red Campaign expanded to Harrison, Nicholas and Pendleton Counties

February is American Heart Month, and the Harrison County Go Red for Women Committee and Harrison Memorial Hospital is doing its part to raise awareness of heart disease in women. This year marks the 19th anniversary of the national heart disease awareness campaign and HMH will expand to Harrison, Nicholas and Pendleton Counties.

Kathy Tussey earns Doctor of Nursing Practice

Kathy Tussey, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer recently earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Eastern Kentucky University.

Dr. Tussey is a native of Nicholasville, Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Midway College, Midway, KY, and then earned her Master of Nursing in Administration from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, KY in 2016. Her commitment to advancing her education and continuing to enhance the nursing profession led her to pursue the DNP, which she completed in December 2023.

Jennifer Gauze returns to HMH Foot and Ankle Clinic

Harrison Memorial Hospital welcomes back nurse practitioner Jennifer Gauze, APRN, to our staff. Gauze specializes in general podiatry and routine foot care, as well as diabetic foot care. She works in conjunction with HMH Foot and  Ankle Surgeon Sofie Pinney, D.P.M., and Chris Bryant, D.P.M., conducting follow-up office visits for our patients. Gauze plays a critical role in our expanding services for foot and ankle surgery and podiatry.

Erica Ezell joins HMH Primary Care Pleasant Street Office

Harrison Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Family Nurse Practitioner Erica Ezell, APRN, has joined the staff of HMH Primary Care Pleasant Street in Cynthiana, KY. She joins John Peppin, D.O., Daniel Klaber, APRN, and Dixie Stone, PA-C, in treating patients.

Ezell earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Kentucky Christian University, Grayson, KY in 2011. In 2018, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Kentucky Christian University as well.

Dr. John Tuttle joins HMH Medical Staff

John Tuttle, Jr., M.D., Urologist, has recently joined the medical staff at Harrison Memorial Hospital, bringing a wealth of expertise in urology. Dr. Tuttle specializes in diagnosing and treating urinary tract diseases in both men and women.

HMH Primary Care Main earns National Recognition as Rural Health Clinic

Harrison Memorial Hospital is very pleased to announce that HMH Primary Care Main and HMH Primary Care Main Women’s Health have recently been awarded official accreditation as a Rural Health Clinic. 

Alex Caldwell earns ACHE Certification

Alex Caldwell recently became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders. Earning the FACHE® credential, signifies board certification in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow. 

Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development. In fact, only 8,866 healthcare executives hold this distinction.  

Harrison Memorial Hospital Expands Cardiac Care Services with Cutting-Edge Cardiac MRI

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) is pleased to announce a significant enhancement to its cardiac care services with the introduction of state-of-the-art Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This noninvasive diagnostic tool is a major addition to the hospital's comprehensive cardiology department.

Dr. Yaz Daaboul joined the HMH Medical Staff in July to lead HMH’s Advanced Cardiac Imaging Program, which now has added Cardiac MRI.
