HMH Sleep Disorder Lab achieves Accreditation with ACHC

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) proudly announces its approval of accreditation status by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for the services of the HMH Sleep Disorder Lab. ACHC’s Sleep Accreditation program offers standards for Sleep Labs/Centers (SLCs) and stand-alone Home Sleep Testing (HST) services. ACHC is a not-for-profit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986.

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for hospital Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care. HMH has maintained this tradition of accreditation since 1973.

Harrison Memorial Hospital Receives First Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine for Staff

On December 22, 2020, Harrison Memorial Hospital received the first doses of COVID-19 vaccine for its healthcare staff. HMH received a total of 200 doses of the Moderna vaccine to be administered to those staff identified as high priority. The first HMH employee to receive the COVID-19 vaccine was Beckie Hinkson, HMH Respiratory Therapist. At this time, HMH does not have any vaccine designated for the patients or public.

Harrison Memorial Hospital Nationally Recognized With An ‘A’ For the Fall 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade

Harrison Memorial Hospital was awarded an ‘A’ in fall 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Harrison Memorial Hospital’s achievements protecting patients from harm and providing safer health care. HMH is one of 16 hospitals in Kentucky to receive an A grade.

The HMH Physician Group: Neurology offers new program

The HMH Physician Group: Neurology office is now offering a new program called BrainCheck, a neurocognitive health assessment.  Cognitive health is the ability to clearly think, learn and remember. It is important component of brain health. It also includes motor function, which is how well a person can make and control movements, emotional function and sensory function.

Dr. Anne Goho joins HMH Active Medical Staff

Dr. Anne Goho, pediatrician, joins the Harrison Memorial Hospital Active Medical Staff. Dr. Goho is a full-time pediatrician with Licking Valley Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. The practice includes Stephen Besson, M.D., Joey Calder, M.D., Lindsey Florence, APRN, and Misti Dixon, APRN.

HMH ranked 2nd in Best Places to Work in Kentucky

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) was recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Kentucky sixteenth Annual Awards Ceremony on September 9 at the virtual event. The final rankings were announced at the event, and HMH ranked second out of 31 in the medium business category.

Dr. Srinadh Annangi joins HMH Medical Staff

Srinadh Annangi, M.D. joined the Harrison Memorial Hospital Medical Staff. Dr. Annangi is a full-time pulmonologist.

A pulmonologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary (lung) conditions and diseases of the chest, such as pneumonia, asthma, emphysema, complicated chest infections, and other respiratory diseases. Dr. Annangi will see patients in both the outpatient clinic and inpatient setting as well as perform diagnostic procedures at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
